The People's Committee of Halong City (Quang Ninh province) has just issued a plan to organize a Sailboat, Parasailing, and Jet Ski Festival called "Overcoming the Waves of Halong - 2024". The festival is expected to open on Saturday, August 24, 2024, at Tuan Chau Beach.


The “Overcoming the Waves of Halong - 2024” Festival is an opportunity for those who love sailing, parasailing, and jet skiing from all over the country to come to Halong City to perform and exchange, thereby promoting the further development of these sports.

This is the first time Halong City has organized the Sailing, Parasailing, and Jet Ski Festival. Indochina Junk. This activity aims to contribute to promoting and boosting Halong tourism, becoming a highlight in the orientation of building Halong as a festival city; aiming to ensure the goal of attracting 10 million tourists to Halong City in 2024.

At the festival, there will be about 150 vehicles participating, including about 100 sailboats, 12 jet skis, 15 jet skis, and 5 parachutes.

Specifically, from 2:00 p.m. to 5:00 p.m. on August 24, 100 sailboats will depart from Tuan Chau Beach, then move to Ocean Park Beach; continue to parade to the coastal area opposite Halong Flower Park. After the parade, the sailboat team will gather in formation to create a highlight for the parasailing, jet-ski and jet-ski performances.

From 5:00 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. on the same day, the jet ski team (12 boats) performed in formation, paraded the national flag, combined with flares, departing from Hon Gai Passenger Port along the coast to the coastal area opposite Halong Flower Park.

The jet ski team will perform around the coastal area opposite Halong Flower Park. At the same time, the parasailing team will depart from 30/10 Square to approach the coastal performance area opposite Halong Flower Park.

Halong City will mobilize maximum social resources and internal resources of Halong Sailing Club to organize the program.
